Hi! My name is Jake from Downingtown Pa (near Philly). I am excited to restore a 1975 fiat spider that my dad has passed on to me but it is in pretty rough condition. I am asking anyone for tips on how to go about the restoration and best places to get parts and such. Anyone with ideas and suggestions please let me know. Thanks!

Welcome Jake! There are several good vendors to choose from:
Vicks Auto
IAP
Bruce's Parts Bin
C. Obert's
Just to name a few. Also, many members may be able to help with hard to find parts. Best thing in my opinion is to determine what maintenance items were done and when, such as brakes, timing belt, fluid changes, etc. Then go from there.

Hi Jake, welcome!
Is she a runner? What is the sheet metal like? Oh, boy....a new project to discuss....we can't wait to get started.
As far as those maintenance items go, i would suggest that the cost difference between doing something too soon and paying the consequences for not doing them suggests do it now!
Especially brakes and brake fluid. it is hell on wheels if you can go but not stop.
give us a shout when you have specific projects to work on. and, of course, post some pictures....we need pictures!
