That rust doesn't look bad at all. If the car's on the west side of the state, it's in very good condition, considering. Considering they get about 280 days of rain annually up there. I'm from Washington originally, and I'll tell you what, you can sure get tired of the rain! The central part of the state is desert though. So I'd be curious what part of the state the seller lives in.
My first Spider was a 79, it was in the same color combination as yours. I really liked that color scheme.

The trunk looks pretty good. The pitting on the top left corner panel and bottom of the door is going to require some TLC. How does the rest of the car look for rust on the shock towers rocker panel and floor pans?

Can't comment on the rims but the JVC amp is aftermarket. Is there a big hole to the left of the battery?

To tell you the truth I have no idea about the rest of the car because every picture I've ever seen of it are in this thread. From what the seller tells me the the rest of the car is solid, but admittedly I didn't ask specifically about the problem areas you listed. I do recall him saying the floors were solid. And yes, that does look like a big old hole to the drivers side of the battery box. I wasn't sure if maybe it was supposed to be there since I have never seen the inside of a Spider trunk before apparently it's not supposed to be there  It must have something to do with the stereo install and it looks like there are wires passing through it but I cant imagine anyone would cut a hole that size just to pull some cable so maybe it was for a sub or something that he pulled it out before selling the car?

The seller is in Mukilteo which is north of Seattle but he has only owned the car very briefly. He has 11 cars currently so had to give up on some of them and he never really wanted this one but bought it for his wife as leverage to get her to agree to him getting the car he really wanted and now told her it was going t be too much of a project so he sold it. I forgot to ask him where the previous owner lived.

Since you've already paid for it I guess you'll just have to wait for it to arrive to thouroughly inspect the car. From the pictures it looks like it's in pretty good shape, but pictures can be decieving. You won't know the true condition of the car until you're able to get up close and personal with it. There are allot of good threads and links to articles on the site about trouble areas to look for when buying a spider (i wish i knew about some of them before I bought mine). Check them out and you'll be more educated when the car arrives.

Post some pics when you get it and we'll help you out with bringing it back to life.
