Fuel leak
Fuel leak
I have a leak in the short rubber hose that connects the metal line to the injector rail. One side has what looks like a flared fitting, and the other side has a fitting I've never seen before (no threaded components). The usual vendors don't list a replacement part. Can I just get a length of generic fuel hose and use clamps, or is there something specialized needed here?

Re: Fuel leak
That line just pushes onto a barbed fitting, with a metal "hat" over the end of the hose. Just cut off the hose (I used an Exacto knife to get under the hat). Use 8mm or 5/16 FUEL INJECTION hose, you can reuse the "hats" or better yet a FI clamp.

If you want to live up to your login name perhaps you can try bailing wire or some tree sap.

Only if you chuck the engine and hitch it up to a couple of horses. You should limit the size of the horse team so you don't exceed the HP the frame was built to handle!Luddite wrote:Hey - I bought a fiat. That's a good start!
