EFI fuel pump from other car?

I have an 83 spider and after troubleshooting EFI, bad pump no pressure. So my question is does anyone know of other cars with a pump that will work, it seems to me that any inline EFI pump should work. I don't care if I have to fab brackets to mount it. A stock Bosch pump is $338.00 from IAP outch!! and it would take at least two days to get. There is a junk yard near me that will sell me any in line pump for $25, but it would save time if I knew what cars to look for. Any ideas?

You should be able to cross reference a EFI pump from a Ford F150 with a 302 EFI....early 80's model probably?

O.K. made it to the junk yard turns out late 80's jaguar xj6's have a pump that is a perfect fit even the electrical connections are a perfect match the only visual difference is a sticker that says Lucas. Also late 80's BMW 3 series use a very similar pump still Bosch but ring terminals for power instead of spade connectors. I picked up one of each. I will post whether or not they work for me. I also found new replacement pumps for the BMW on Ebay for $80 shipped, so that could be a low cost alternative to the factory pump.

Running good again, sorry for the wait (driving for a change) So first I tried the Lucas pump DOA (go figure Lucas). then the Bosch all I had to do is change the electrical connections to ring terminals. Runs great I don't know the specs for either pump, but the BMW had a six cylinder motor I assume was larger. The BMW is obviously a more common car so replacement pumps are readily available, also if there is a difference between the pumps my guess would be the BMW pump would flow more. Since this is pressure regulated return line system I don't think it would matter. If the pump is more capable it will only help in my case as I'am currently building a turbo setup, and think the stock (and probably this one) may become maxed out at some point. Anyway If anyone else is a little daring or would like to save some $$ the BMW pump worked for me. 8)
