Bypassing heater core
Bypassing heater core
My heater is always on and I want to bypass the core . Is there a way to do this ? I saw a pic of an inline valve a guy had put on the heater hose. Better way?
Re: Bypassing heater core
Just take the the two hoses coming through the firewall to the heater and connect them together. Allot of people will also put a flush T in there to aid in "burping" the coolant system.
Here's a thread that has a pic of the flush T.

I think he wants to keep the heater. Just stop it from working all the time
Re: Bypassing heater core
Your right that's not going to work if he wants to keep the heater hoses connected to the core. Replacing the heater core valve and adjusting the cables to ensure the valve isn't partially open allowing fluid through it is probably a better fix if he's not going to bypass it.azygoustoyou wrote:I think he wants to keep the heater.
