The coolant hose we installed from the heater to the engine block wasn't a formed one originally. When we installed it, the indicated portion deformed a bit and will be pinching off some of the flow (oval cross section instead of circle). It's not pinched closed, just restricted because of the turn needed to get over parts.
The question: Will this be a problem?
We're finally getting close to finishing the cleanup of the coolant system! It's only been 1-2 months! I look forward to seeing our little boy's face when he gets his first convertible ride soon...

My personal opinion: Many people block off that port to the head and take the heater core out of the loop, so I don't think it would pose a problem.
