Fuel Filter
I changed to a clear plastic fuel filter from and "OEM" metal filter. I have noticed that there is a lot of air in the filter when the engine is running. Increasing engine RPMs doesn't make the filter to be filled. The engine is a '72, 160788, with the standard carb setup. Should the filter have air in it at all?

Re: Fuel Filter
Thanks Mark. Knowing this, it is a big help - I am tracking down the source of a sputtering when cruising at 2500-3500 rpm and bogging when accelerating. Next on the list is the carb.
