Wow, another early model Spider! Please post pics when you have a chance. If you're a Mercedes Tech, you shouldn't have a problem working on a little ole' Fiat.

Hello and Welcome! There are well-documented issues that should be resolved before spending money on restoring a Spider; hopefully you'll find none of the fatal flaws, and you'll be able to keep the family legacy alive
Plenty of Bosch components on these cars so you won't get lonesome!
Is it my imagination, or are there a larger-than-usual number of early Spiders now appearing? Bring 'em on!
Photos of your car are always welcome.

Ya, I hope so. I've been scanning the forums and getting some good info. Im all about keeping cars in the family. I have a '57 chevy bel-air that my grandpa bought off the showroom floor, a '65 ducati that my uncle bought and the Fiat. I could of had my grandma's '67 Beaumount, but I was already working on the chevy and the frame was rusted out, not worth it.

I feel badly for the guys who've scoured the country and invested untold hours and dollars on tri-5 Chevy's. Imagine answering the same question hundreds of times, "No - it's not a replica, it's an original!" Jeez, they're even kitting Stratos'

Hi there, wecome . As you now know, this is a great place for fiat info.
I popped out to Strathmore last year to pick up a 72 . Planned to restore but lots of rust on/in the structural components, car runs though.
If you're ever out this way(penticton) look me up,some great places for units of instalation fluid.
Lucky Ital Motors is kinda up the road from you, great support for our fiats.
