Hello from Lynden, Washington

Post by dreamer »

Hi to everyone. I have tried to post here twice already without success, this time I'm going to keep my post short as I tend to get long winded. Long story short!! Client opens shop door, A 1979 spider sits there up on jacks as it as been for the last 15 yrs. I tell client (with a tear in my eye) about my 1973 spider that I sold 12 yrs. earlier. Client says YA WANT ANOTHER?? How much ya want? Client says IT'S FREE!! because in 2 wks. its scheduled to go to the crusher!! I do believe I almost fainted. A little about her (spider) husband was starting restoration and work got in the way, lucky for me!! A little about the spider, she sports dual IDF's large valves, cams and other goodies. I have it all apart and am rebuilding, ground up. I'll post pic's a little later and look forward to chatting more later... Calvin

Wow! How lucky can you get?
Congratulations. Welcome to the forum.
The two most recent additions to our group are both from Washington state. Makes me homesick, I was born and raised up there, but work has kept me in So Cal for 30 years now. Can't wait to move back.
We're anxious to see your new car.

Yes you have a wee bit of work ahead of you. BUT it will be worth it. Love the colour.
Craigslist Seattle and Portland have a ton of fiat stuff, should'nt have too much of an issues in obtaining the bits you need to complete.
Good luck, welcome and have fun
