Newbie to Fiat and to forum!

Post by Toliver »

Hey everyone.
I'm Mykel from central Illinois, and I just bought my first Fiat, a 1979 Spider 2000. I'm in the process of resto-modding it to keep the main design but add a few modern comforts. I bought it for $650 and so far I'm in love with it. All it needed to get running was a battery and it runs pretty strong. Mechanically all it needs is some carburetor work. I will have some pictures soon of what the car looks like to begin with and what it will look like as I go along in a build up thread soon to come. I really want to make it look more like a 124 rally. I bought a black vinyl top and will most likely be painting it the same scheme as a 124 rally, which is the white paint with matte black accents. I'm new to Fiat and I hope that I can get into them as much as I am into Jeeps.

Hi Mykel, welcome to the fourm. Sounds like you'll be having fun with your Spider. Be sure to post a pic or two for us to admire. It's always good to see the before and the after.
