Hi all,
I just purchased a '76 Spider for my son and I to work on. He is 16 today and once we finish some initial work I'm going to let him cruise it around!! The car is red, I'm not sure of the paint code just yet as it needs some ignition work to get it running and over to my place. I think however it's "racing red"??
Body is in great shape considering the age, most of its life spent in a garage I'm told it never drove in the rain. The wheel arch condition and floors support this contention so some minor cosmetic and electrical stuff, new carpets and seat covers and we are on the way. The top is brand new and it has wheels that look like Panasports to me...the 8 spoke ones.
Of course later I'm already drooling over some of the suspension mods available which would bring the car more in line with my tastes for handling. My other car is a supercharged '99 Miata with stage 2 adjustable coil over suspension and upgraded sways.
This looks like a good place to get information so I'll be posting up some questions later regarding electronic ignition, good vendors to deal with and such like.
Thanks for having me along for the ride!!

Welcome to the forum. You will do doubt find this to be a great source of information and inspiration. Be great to see some pictures! The paint colour and code should be on the inside of the trunk lid.
