Guess it's Time to say hello from Australia (with photos)

Post by ITA124 »

Hi All,

I've been on this forum for about 18 months, but haven't introduced my 1976 Spider. So here are a few photos of her over the years. Hope you enjoy.

Stripped back to bare metal after the steering conversion and rusty bits cut out

Nice and shiny after paint. Anything that was not red is black

Building her up on the chassis stand

Let the mods begin. Abarth bumpers and Whoa brakes

What a great story in pics. Well done, the car looks terrific.
The pic while on the track.. are the rear tires a different size or is that an optical illusion or my eyes just knackered.
Any mods to the engine?

The tires on the track are different. Originally I had Pirelli 185/60 R14. The new tires are Yokohama A048 semi-slick 195/60 R14. These tires are in fact 205 wide. Great tires.

As for engine mods. I've rebuilt it to a Euro/Aus spec with twin 40mm IDF. I do have a Lancia head that I'm planning to rebuild and some mild cams. Also there is a set of extractors on my work bench that I'm prepping for installation.

What a beautiful build-up! Thank you for all of the pictures. Hey do you have a link for pictures of the Corolla too? I've always loved the 86's. (Not just because of Initial D :P)

Happy motoring,
Peter
