Manifold vacuum is where you hooked your brake booster to (directly on the manifold).
Ported vacuum is where you hooked your dizzy to (at the carb). the pull will be much less here.

FIAT AUTO TRANS PROBLEMS
hey guys
Does anyone know if the Fiat Automatic Transmission uses electrical shift solenoids? Or are solenoids only for more recent cars? I'm not familiar with the design of older model autotransmissions. However I got a 98 Jeep Cherokee, I started to loose shifiting between 1 and 2 I experienced some slipping and jerking. I changed the shift solenoids and problem solved.
