32/36 jetting

Post by boogiedude »

So I've come into possession of a 32/36dgv that came off of a friends bmw2002. The 2002 has a bigger block and larger fuel consumption so I'm darn sure I'll need to re-jet the carb to make it work on my 1800.

I know this is a pretty common upgrade for people to make, so does someone has a list of the jets and venturi diameters I'll need?

Thanks in advance

Boogie's 1978 1.8L is completely stock, for consideration regarding jetting info. My weber books might give some jetting info for that carb, I'll check tonight.

What are the jets in there now? The jets from your 32ADFA will also fit. I've got a 40DCNF that also has jets that will fit. If you can find the right jet sizes, you and I may already have the needed jets.

Since the primary throttles on the 32/36 and the 32ADFA are the same, I'd suspect the jets from the 32ADFA could go in the 32/36 primary. Just have to find the right jets and air correctors for the secondary throttle which should be slightly larger than whats in the secondary of the 32ADFA.
