Odd Vaccum reading

Post by Fiat1980spyder »

Hello i have a 1980 Fiat Spider 2L turbo. I decided to check the engines vaccum i had a odd reading so maybe someone can point me in the right direction. While the car is idling i get 17HG engine speed @ 900rpm, the needle however flickers 1/2 HG and as well the needle goes from up and down 1HG. While giving it a quick rev it pins 0 and then shoots to 23 then sits at 17HG flickering and going up and down 1HG again. I have tested the engine for vaccum leaks with no result, the only place i found a leak was the intercooler pipes which i fixed. The timing is set at 10 degrees @900 RPM, Replaced the Spark plugs with Magnetti Marellies heat range 7, Also Compression tested cylinders all came out about 120psi and did a leak down test which came back ok. Any ideas???
