Hi All,
I recently acquired an '84 Pininfarina (repainted red of all colors). The original Azzurra bluish silver shows through here and there and in the engine bay. I plan to do a full restoration (with a few tasteful yet easily returned to stock upgrades) and drive the car. After an engine rebuild, media blasting and return to the original color, I'm thinking about installing some aftermarket wood trim, if I can't find carpet to match the original 2-tone beige/brown loop all bets are off. At the moment I live in OKC but starting next week I will be in the process of moving to Kansas City, MO for work. I'm looking for other owners in the KC area. I am on the Roamin' Chariots mail list.
Does anyone know if the rockers were that same as the body color in 84? Also I've seen a few with pinstripes, were they original?

Welcome to the forum! You'll have great company with the Roamin' Chariots. They're a good bunch. As far as the rockers, they should be the same color as the body and I believe pinstripes were also a dealer add-on or aftermarket. I just pulled the pinstripes off my 72 and am already regretting it.

Re: Another Newbie
All I really need is to find another 124 so I can exercise my impulse to get crazy... although a 131 would be nice to have too. Prior to obtaining the Pininfarina, I was going to update a 70's Datsun 260Z with modern Nissan 6 cyl turbo, trans and suspension to make a sleeper that would mess with the wannabe tuner kiddies and their coffee can exhausts.
