Greetings from Englishtown, NJ!

Post by crazyfiatguy »

Hi Folks!
I've owned "Isabella" since April-2005. She lost 2nd gear last fall and I've started to replace the 5-speed; found this grand website, and was compelled to join. The information here has been fantastic! I am hoping to also be able to contribute in the [near?] future. [btw - got the gearbox out Sunday, phewww, and am really hoping I can get the other back in!]
Best Regards, Hank

Welcome Hank! So, Isabella is a 71? Bet she's a beaut. Please share pics when you have a chance and good luck with your transmission reinstallation.

Hello Hank,

Your are not the only "Crazy" Fiat guy in New Jersey. There is a small but growing group of us enjoying our little Italian machines. Here is the website: http://njfiats.org/ though it seems to be down this morning. I'm at the shore, and there are a number of us not too far from you. They will be chiming in soon I'm sure.

We look forward to meeting you and Isabella, and in the meantime we would love to see some pictures.

Hi Hank,
Drove through today and I didn't see you! :D I drive through Englishtown all the time. You must be hidden away. If your 71 is up and road worthy why don't you join us this Sunday. We are going to Mastoris on rt 130 in Bordentown for breakfast at 08:30 am. Then a group car disassembly of a 1982 Spider and lunch in Freehold. You might as well jump in with both feet and meet everybody. Its a small but growing group of Spider owners. We have a good group of people and have some events planned for this year. If your 71 is not roadworthy I can swing buy and pick you up in my 81. It was down last breakfast :( and I had to ride over with Doug. George

Your car sounds nice man! I would love to see pictures of the transmission install, if it isn't too much trouble. Good luck!

Hi Folks - thanks much for the welcome notes - pardon my delayed replies as I dont get online often to read emails & things. We've got a lot of irons in the fire right now, so no Sunday breakfast gathering for me... certainly looking forward to other get-togethers once a number of things blow over & hopefully also Isabella's tranny is up to it... speaking of tranny - lemme post a question in the appropriate place...
Take care! Hank
