number 10 fuse keeps on popping

Post by angelo1952 »

yestertoday I switched from dual points to single points and reset the timing(which was off a lot probably another 10 degrees btdc) and ran the car for a while with no problem. This morning on my way to work in sunny southern california my fuse popped after reaching 5000+ rpm it had happened before but only when I was pushing the car hard and then I would replace it and it worked fine again. Today it did not, and it pops pretty quickly after a I turn the ignition key on. I also found out that I was using the wrong amp 16 when I should be using 25 but It's weird I will install the 25 this evening but I am expexting to pop again and it impacts the fuel, temperature gauge and the tach I have not checked anything else any advice :?:

You may get better results by posting in the electrical section. Some people may only check the repair section of the forum and miss your post. Btw, welcome to the forum!

Also, when you are asking for help, you should state the year of your spider so we know how to diagnose it.
