1975 Carb 32adfa wanted

Well I got the fiat to start tonight but would not idle nice. I think the throttle cable was making it idle before adjusted too much. I found the idle screw on mine was all the way in but made no difference when let out. I also noticed the Secondary air jet was not seated fully but was tight. I removed the top and seems some great mechanic had cross threaded the jet, how does that happen I wonder. Also notice when trying to run the squiter was wiggling around and found its oring pretty hard and not tight fit.

I dug out another carb I had for years but its a 32 dmsa and I would need to remove my studs, install bolts then figure out a new throttle linkage for it. Is butterflys are also lower so I would think the ADFA carb would be a better choice to rebuild.

Does anyone have a good candidate 32 ADFA cable operated carb they need to get rid of to rebuild or a good one that can be bolted on?

Best place for a major carb kit?

Hi Brian,

I have one that I just had bead blasted. I was going to save it but I went with dual carbs instead.
All the linkages move correctly. Carb needs a good cleaning due to the blast media. I paid 35.00 plus shipping from a fellow fiat spider member. If you are interested let me know and I can take some pictures.

Not sure you want the dual carbs. A bit of a pain to get them to run smoothly, but I'm almost there. I sent you a PM regarding the single carb.

Thanks to Ralph I got a great carb to rebuild and its running great! Now I have a line on a dual carb setup. I hear they are a pain but would it be worth it if I can get them for under 800.00 with the factory waffle manifold and air cleaner?

Unless you have high compression pistons and a cam upgrade stay away from dual carbs. Sure they will work on a stock motor but there is nothing to be gained.

800.00 is a good price if they are complete, Jets all match, no missing parts, have been running recently and the owner has a video of the carbs running. Do I sound bitter??? I bought my set for 500.00, 1600.00 later I finally have a car that can idle. I have two carbs that have been hacked to death and two more carbs waiting as backup. Pierce Manifolds sells a new system for 1300.00. If I was to do it all over again I would have bought that set.

Save your self a headache and get a nice Weber 32/36 dfev made in Spain or Italy. Check out ebay
