I have a 73 with a mechanical fuel pump. is it a problem to block the fuel return?

Yeah, maybe. I had to drill a tiny hole in my gas cap so the tank would vent. Could be it was a problem with one of the other hoses going into the tank, but mine was an easy solution.

Hey Mark, what problem could be caused by blocking the fuel return? I blocked the fuel return on when I switched to a DFEV on my 78 with mechanical fuel pump. Did I do something wrong? It ran fine.

I've never experienced any issues with blocking the fuel return. It's not used as a vent for the fuel tank.
