Hey new to the forums.I'm ryan and g/f is Nancy and we both are excited about our new toy. just bought my first fiat march 22nd. 1981 Fiat Spider. Car is running fine with really only cosmetic work needed.

I've been scouting out for a project car for quite a while running around the idea of a Porsche 914, mg, and a few others. eventually i ran across these fiat's. found a great deal and went for it. not a rust bucket or even close to it with original parts mostly in it except missing the interior. so here i am with a new addition to your family. can't wait to get to know everyone and maybe find some locals here in Dragon town (deals gap). guess im off to the 'looking for parts' thread.

Howdy! Welcome to the forum.
Are you guys planning to do the body work yourselves? Front clips are available, but you're going to find out they're welded, not bolted on. Could be fun, eh?
Good job posting pics right off. It's always nice to see the "before" pictures.
Good luck, you'll find you made the right choice. These cars are great!

Welcome to the crew. Looks like a relatively easy project. Does it run?

That looks like a big undertaking. I have a 79 in my yard the very same color, and if I remember correctly, the front clip is in decent shape but I'm in Florida right now so I can't check it out. We're only separated by a few hundred miles.

Welcome I am a newbie myself.
Was up your way about a week ago or so, I live in Northwest GA about two and half hours away, saw a spider on 411 a red one just below Maryville on the right not sure what year it was, check it out for parts maybe, did you say yours was an 81? I was in Atlanta two weeks ago at pull a part and they had one on the lot, front fenders were there, and looked good no bondo from what I could tell. I think a fender goes for 30.00 any way check that out if I get back down that way in the next week or so I would be more than happy to pick it up for you, if its still there.
