Valve adjustment time or something else?

I think one of the purposes of the spider is the learning curve (which I've only barely started to climb). Had an experience tonight with it that doubled my blood pressure (foreign matter in a cylinder). But with plenty of air and vacuum we got through. Something about technology from this era -- challenging yet accessible -- and no problem beyond solution. Gotta love it. If only I could get to the bottom of the clutch...
