Glad to find this site!

Post by mumbo »

Hello,

I just found this site. It seems very active . I have had a 1977 Spyder since 1983. Bought from original owner. Just had it repainted and new seats, top done. I also just acquired a 78 Spyder. It needs a fair amount of work. I live in the Phoenix area. I look forward to being a part of this group.

Hi Scott, welcome to the forum. We gotta see pictures of your car! New paint job and all, it sounds like she's a sweety.
Are you hooked up with other Fiat owners out there?

Like, for example, how to spell "Spider"
(since you have two of 'em) 8)

Welcome, Scott! Do you plan on keeping both of them; is one a "trainer" or parts car?

I have always spelled it Spyder. I see it that way on various literature. I''ll have to look into it. I have always liked it that way. I've been spelling it like that for 27 years that I have had the first car. I'm crazy tht way :D :P

I will have to put some pictures up.

I may have to sell one. Probably the 78. I started the project a year and half ago (long story) when the economy was different. If I end up moving I will surely have a smaller garage than the 4 bay one now. It has new paint, top and interior. It's the dash and sorting out the minor mechanical issues (the fun stuff) that are left to be done.

Anyone looking for a project 78 ? I will maybe put it in the for sale column when I get some time.
