So after wanting this car for 30 years, I found an '81 FI on CL in reasonably good shape. Rust free, B+ paint job, and runs well. After about 2 hours of ownership, I got the doors working properly! Now the fun begins - install cat, new ball joint and front calipers and center driveshaft bearing (being done by a mechanic). Also, I think I've heard most of the Fiat jokes in a very short period of time...
The rest is up to me, so I'll be seeking advice frequently from those who know more.

Hello out there in Arizona. Welcome to the forum. We'd like to see this car you've been waiting 30 years for, post pics please. (If you'll allow me a little alliteration.)
Congratulations on your new car.

Welcome to the site!
Maybe on one of your trips to Bisbee you can stop in and say Hi. I'm Sierra Vista.
