hi my 1981 fiat spider is leaking from the camshaft housing gasket. i got a new gasket and have it installed and i have the bolts hand tightened. does anyone know the torque settings for it?

If there are studs and nuts like on 1608 and 1592 engines, tighten the nuts to 18 foot pounds. If 1756 or 2000 engines with bolts, tighten the bolts to 14 foot pounds. Tighten in 2 or 3 stages, working outward from the center, to prevent warping the camshaft housings.

You're not talking about the very top gasket with the four big turn screws, are you? I tighten those hand tight plus 1/2 turn.
