Yes, I hooked up everything properly. There is about a inch of slack in the cable even with the nuts threaded all the way. I am going to check it at the firewall to see if that's the problem. It doesn't seem like it is engaging. I will know more once I reconnect the drive line. Just got the flex joint and transmission mount in the mail today.

Did you route the cable throught the hole in the bell housing first and then route it to the yoke? Missing that step will cause a very slack cable.

Yes, but there is still slack. going to look at the fire wall.

Did you match it up to the old cable to make sure it is the same size? Sometimes the wrong cables are sent.

It is the old cable, the new cable was the wrong cable. Had a eyelet instead of a tab. So I'm still waiting on a cable.

Got the transmission working correctly. The shifter arm came off the ball. A long flat head screw driver and back in business. Still going to replace the clutch cable went it comes in. Now Brakes and then wipers. Then she will be road worthy.
