Hello
My name is Joel. Long story short there was a Fiat spider that has been bouncing through my family for almost two decades now, I've lost track of how many cousins and relatives have owned it. Anyways I made an inquiry about it and managed to wrangle it for myself. I have the time and resources needed to fix it up.
It's a 73 spider. It's currently in running condition, replaced all the tie-rods, bushings, bearings, washers and bolts on the front end. Rebuilt the fuel pump and cleaned up the contact points on the alternator. Going to rework the wiring next. I'll be doing restoration over the next few months and years.
Ironically so I'm 23 and exclusively ride and fix motorcycles. It's been months since I've even driven a car! let alone one older than me. It will be fun and a learning experience.
hope to see you all around.

Hello Joel, welcome! Is the car stock? What color/interior/top? I'll warn you, you need to post pictures. The good folks on this forum will pester you for pictures.
Feel free to share your motorcycles as well. We have a bunch of members that have motorcycles as well.
You'll get a great deal of help from the folks here. Did I read it right? So Cal & MI? Wow, that's a stretch

Hi Joel, I know the feeling of fixing a car older than you. My First Fiat was a '76 and now I have a '79. Goodluck on your project.

Hi Joel, welcome to the forum. What part of SoCal are you in? There's a pretty good group of us Fiaters around the LA area who get together for runs and socializing. Hopefully, you're close enough to join us on an upcoming event. Should be next month sometime.

I travel all over the country for my line of work so while I'm stationed in LA for the time being, I'm a michigan native and I predict PA as my next stop.
I'll post some pics as soon as I find some and take some more, I want some nice before and afters.
