Dash clock repair...
Re: Dash clock repair...
Craig, I understand now...
I was snooping on the web to see what the true cost was to repair our Veglia clocks from one of the better sources that repair the clocks and instruments... I was surprised by what they were charging to repair these clocks... $300 to repair one Veglia clock for a Dino car (same clock you have on the Fiat). Makes me think you guys are getting a bargain... but I'm not doing this service to 'make' money (I'm actually losing time with my family when I'm back instead I'm fixing clocks) but rather to insure everyone has those instruments running on the car and not having a cloudy, non-running clock that distracts from an otherwise nice dash/interior... especially during FFO or other get togethers.

Denise... Glad you love the clock and the bow!
Brady... sorry men don't send other men bows... sorry... but you recieved a nice clock in lieu of the snowstorm you just had up there in the NE. That storm dropped about 4" of rain here in Savannah.

Hey Nick, That 4" gave us 23.5 inches of snow. I'll trade the shoveling for rain gear.

Beautiful sunny weather here for the past two days... I'd seen all that snow in the weather reports... let's hope it melts soon... I too experienced that snow when I was a child growing up in New Jersey (Morristown), snow drifts would cover half of our house (on a hill)... loved it as a child, hate it now as an adult except to ski on...
Nick
PS: Everyone who recieved the renewed clocks please post pics of the clocks on the cars for me and others to enjoy.
Thanks, and Happy Holidays.

Re: Dash clock repair...
Are you still doing clocks, or have other commitments taken your time? I would be happy if you'd take a look at mine (time adjust knob doesn't work, foggy glass, otherwise functional).

Nick,
If the clock deal hasn't overwelmed you yet... I have a clock from my 80 that needs a rebuild.

I must have restored at least ten clocks for members here and have not heard a word from them... was my restoration so shoddy no one wants to comment?

Re: Dash clock repair...
How could anyone think you would even be capable of shoddy work!? Every time I see something you've done, I go down a notch in my opinion of my own work.
BTW, I have been wanting to send you mine to get the stem winder fixed, but I haven't gotten around to it, not being home most of the time.

Re: Dash clock repair...
Nick,
Your work is outstanding. My car is back in the body shop for some touch up work, and the clock is sitting in a box as I add up my spring projects. My body shop guy says the car will be ready by end of February, which really means mid-March. Can't wait to put it all together.

Re: Dash clock repair...
I showed Ron my beautiful clock and he thought it looked like a brand new one. Hard to impress that man, but your work did! In fact, he thought I should consider asking you to clean up the rest of the gauges in my dash.
