New Member from Minneapolis MN? (48 hours/2nd e-mail?)

Hey Everybody,
I got my 1981 Spider in 2007 and it has been an ongoing project since. I have a lot of fun driving it in between the repairs and improvements. Not a day goes by without checking ebay for parts or checking the oil (that should be the next project).
Is anybody else here from the Twin Cities Area? I am original from Germany so all my car buddy's from back in the days are very far away. I would like to post a photo and some info, could not figure out how to, yet.

Hi Toby, welcome to the forum. No, I'm not from Minnesota (thank God!) My dad was raised out there and he used to tell us stories about how cold it got in the winter. Blow your breath out and form an igloo around yourself? I'll take the So Cal winters, thank you.
But there are other Fiaters out there, good luck hooking up with a group.

Welcome,Tobi! We all spend time searching ebay and craigslist,that is what drives prices.We are always bidding against each other! You could try sending a pm to 'mnspiderman' and find out if he is near you,he is a frequent user of this site.Good luck with the oil problem.Is it puking it out or burning it? We have all sorted thru various leaks,not uncommon and usually fairly easy fixes.

Welcome to MN Tobi. Its cold in the winter but the summer is beautiful. This entire place is consumed with blue lakes and green trees. Not a straight road to be found. I am in Bloomington. Where are you located, you can swing down here and check out my fiat spider and my alfa gtv6 and my gst spyder and my others. I can check out your car too. By the way My family is also German. But we don't speak it. We speak crazy minnesotan.

Thanks for the nice welcome everybody. I am glad I found that place here. Suddenly I am not alone anymore. Suddenly I am surrounded by people that know what a Fiat is and even own "one" or like some of you, half a dozen.

Craig: Is it puking it out and burns it. I need to fix it soon but you can not touch steel here during the winter and I'd rather drive it during the summer. So, you are the one always bidding higher than me on ebay? You probably got the wheels I really wanted a couple of month ago, grrr!

MNspidermann: I would like to see your car'sssssss, you betcha. Are you sure you got enough cars. I own three cars and I thought it's ridicules. I guess we aren't any better than girls and shoes.
