hiya! from NC

Post by knightdalejb »

so i don't have the fiat yet... but just set a time to meet and hand over the money for the title. woo hoo! it's a '77 model, the dark/navy blue with cream interior. I've been lurking on here the past couple of days to try to understand what i am getting into... thanks to everyone that's posted, such a wealth of information on here. the little guy i looked at has some rust... but nothing major. and looked in the prone areas that people talked about on here, like the shock towers and floor and looks really good. i'm looking forward to fixing it up and i plan on asking a bunch of silly questions. i know going in i will be over my head a lot of the time, but that's part of the fun, right??

Nice of you to stop by, Jeff. When you get your new car home, make sure to take plenty of pics. We all like pictures! What part of NC are you in? I'm in the Winston-Salem area.

You're not too far away to come west for an event or two. If you're interested in local events and gatherings pm me and I'll fill you in.

She just needs a little lovin thats all.
Sure you'll have it sorted in no time. Does look good though.

This is the place to ask all questions, and source parts if any are needed. Some are parting out cars and have plenty of good parts that will fit.
I find sourcing parts and tinkering with the car just about as much fun as driving it. Therapy for me.

I might have a better rear bumper if you're interested. Looks pretty good!

Thanks guys... I already can tell this is a great place to ask / learn and hopefully after a while I'll be able to contribute too. with the bumper... I don't really care for the look even if it was in good shape, but if it turns out i need to keep them to put it on the road, i might ask you if you still have one. right now i have to deal with some rust and getting the engine running.
