Radiator Question

Post by jcp010 »

Has anyone used a radiator in there spider from another vehicle that isn't so darn expensive!? I need a new radiator but I don't want to pay the price for a new fiat radiator when I can get another one that is way cheaper and just custom mount it...

I don't know how cheap you can pick one up but a Volvo 240 radiator will fit with a few mounting modifications. You will have to convert the overflow jug to a pressurized tank though.

Could you not just use the existing fiat tank?

Why not have your Fiat radiator re-cored? Any good rad shop can do it.

The Volvo radiator has no cap and the system is filled via the tank and since the system is pressurized, an overflow jug wouldn't work.
