Can anyone help me with a 124 AC Coupe...

Post by wingnutmckay »

I am first trying to find the year of the car... I can only find the vin number: 124AC0059542. This is printed on the body, and there is a serial number / engine number tag in the engine bay, and that is it. No other Id tags or stickers or vin number markings.
Also... If anyone knows where I can find floors, and a new drivers side door (both sides if available). The door is the big thing...
Will Spider floor replacment panels work on the AC Coupe?
Ciao...

Thanks... Matt McKay

Did you check the Driver side door jamb? There's an ID plate with date stamp there for my spider. What do your registration papers say?

I also checked the trunk lid, both door jambs, engine compartment, and all over the interior.
All I have is a bill of sale. The owner of the car died, and his widow was left with a bunch of Fiats and a lot of disorganized paperwork.
They are working on finding a title.

Just run a lean sale on the car it's easy but takes about a month to clear
it should cost you about $75.00 maybe more it's been about 4 or 5
years since i ran 1 .

according to my Fiat books, that would be a 1968 coupe. Serial numbers began in 1968 with 124ac0034514, and began in 1969 with 124ac0066280. Since yours falls inbetween, it's still in the 68 model year. That's a pretty rare find
