Hey all,
Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. You may have already read part of my story as posted by my wife, Nora, who has been posting here for a little while now. Anyway, we just got back tonight from picking up the new (well, to me anyway) 1974 Spider in Arizona. It was quite the shakedown cruise, and I already have a long to-do list to make things right.
I guess this is my midlife crisis car. My last Fiat was a '75 that I had up until around 1993, and before that I had an old 850 Spider. ('68 maybe? It was the one with the covered headlights.)
Anyway, I'm sure I'll be asking for advice as I work through this new project, so thanks in advance!

Glad to hear you made it home safely. Sounds like you had a great trip. You know that it's reliable now. There are lots of folks here in the Bay Area who are owned by Italian cars. Great group of people in the Alfa and Fiat communities. I live in Oakland. Send me an email, my wife and I are always looking to go on drives with other folks. Any excuse to drive our cars.

Did you make it without mishaps? How many miles was it?
As you can see by my signature line, I am another who went a few years between Spiders. My first one was just a year old when I got it, and it was very pretty (Grigio fumo) but it was a 79, so my 82 is a much funner car.
Congratulations, and glad you made it.
