Hello,
New to the site but have already found a lot of good information. Thanks to everyone who contributes.
I have a 79 Spider that our family has had since it was new. It was my sister's car until 84 and then I took it over from her. Finally switched out carb and intake last year. Replaced control arm bushings last month. Putting on an electric fuel pump next. Car is in excellent shape and driven regularly. Planning on making the drive to Asheville next July for the Fiat Freak Out.
I'm outside of Charlotte.

Will have to get a photo posted. Don't have one handy.
I put a 32/36 DFEV Weber on with an 1800 intake.

Hey all,
OK,
Finally had some time to get a couple of photos together. Got side-tracked for a bit and winter has been colder and wetter than normal here in NC. Did give me time to remove my driver side door and weld back the cracked sheet metal where the upper door hinge bolts on. Did a little rust-proofing and window crank lubrication while I was in there. Anywho...here are a couple of photos I took today since it was in the 60's here.

Ahh, a 79 in Grigio Fumo. The same year and color combo I had when I got married in 1980. Very nice.

Here are 2 more of my 79.
Also...Ron, The "family" story of this car is that it was my sister's first car (new in 1979). In 1984 she was looking for a 4 door so I traded my VW jetta with her for this car. I have had it ever since. Sister and I had actually been "trading" these 2 cars for some time before 1984. I would want the Fiat for a weekend of driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway with my girlfriend or she would want to take a trip with 2 or three of her friends and borrow the Jetta.
Come on Springtime!
