Heater core hoses?

I am installing a heater core on my 1979 Spider which never had one when I bought the car, and I am curious where the inlet/outlet hoses connect to the engine. I have a manual but it is of no help. If anyone has some pictures and advice on on this project I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for the help--

one hose connects to a nipple in the middle of the cylinder head, the other hose attaches to a pipe that runs down the side of the engine under the exhaust manifold and connects to the water pump

Thank you- Is it pretty straight forward on hooking inlet/discharge hoses to the heater core itself (markings?) I think I may need a special connection for the one by the waterpump- if I remember correctly it is just plugged off. My car is a 1975 with a 1979 2.0L engine- are they both set up the same way? both use the pipe that connects to the water pump and extend down the side under the exhaust manifold
