Hello From Down Under

Post by holidayharv »

Hi All,
I'm a new member and want to say "Hello". I've just bought a 79 Spider (US car) here in Perth and am in the process of pouring my kid's college fund into it to get it road worthy. But that's okay, college is over rated.

A man with his priorities straight! 8) You may still be able to send your kid to technical school with the money left over. Welcome to the forum. Post a picture or two of your new toy for us all to enjoy.

G'day! Great to see another West Aussie on the site. Please make sure you come along to the Fiat Lancia Car Day on Sunday 29 November at GO Edwards Park, Burswood. Plenty of like-minded individuals will be there to share stories.

Your 'new' '79 isn't dark blue with sports seats by any chance...?

Cheers

I've got the Fiat Lancia day marked on the calander. The car's in okay shape. It's a red LHD. It's been sitting since 2003 so needs a bit of TLC. I'll see how the work goes and then figure out if I'm commited to spending the extra time and money converting to RHD. As a Canadian I have no problem with LHD so I'm not sure it's worth it.
I'll take some pics soon.

Hello down under! Welcome to the forum. Spending the kid's college fund on the car is not a bad decision. I didn't finish college and it haven't hurted me.
