Hi all, I'm new to this forum and to the world of Fiats. I purchased a 78 Spider in Virginia last fall and drove it all the way back to Canada (approx. 500 miles). This is my first "toy" and look forward to touring around eastern Ontario during the summer months.

Hi Mark, the trip home with the car started out perfectly....90 degrees...top down...cruising the highway at 65-70 mph.....tunes cranked......my wife with me......passing those big ass transports (really appreciate the size of them now ....lol..).......all was good for 1/2 of the trip......then we stopped off the highway to get gas in Pennsylvania. Must have gotten some bad gas as the car immediately started stalling out when under any kind of load. It was hair raising for the remainder of the trip home but we made it. Since then I have replaced fuel filter, fuel pump, rebuilt carb, but am still struggling with a constant missing. My next plan is to replace plugs, wires and install a Crane 3000 electronic ignition.

very gutsy to attempt a road trip with a car you're not familiar with! But hey, that's what makes legends!
