P.F. T-stat?

Post by htchevyii »

Has anyone tried the P.F. alternate style external t-stat yet? My 2yr old Behr started leaking at the seam about 4 months ago, so I removed it and JB welded the crimped seam, (where it was leaking, I noticed it 3 or 4 days before the Oregon camp out and didn't have time to replace it). Well, it's leaking again, so I need to buy another and since I haven't exactly had a great experence with the Behr, I'm wondering if I should try Val's. It's much cheaper too, but I'm more concerned with getting a "good" one than the price.

I have one on my 80 FI from Performance Fiat and it works great. Not sure if it matters but a few months ago when I bought mine he had a metal one and a plastic one in stock. Both looked the same so I went with the metal one.
