I finally joined the forum. I used to lurk as a guest several years ago but I quit monitoring around when the site was being shopped (not relative to decision to stop visiting-just offered as general time frame). I had some life changing events occur and just never got around to joining in. Anyway the other day I needed to move the Spider out of the garage and had some fuel delivery problems so I Googled Fiat and behold.... 'Fiatspider.com' jumped up. So here I am. I am looking forward to re-energizing my long love affair with my Spider.
Some personal background. I have a blue 79 Spider with around 74K original miles. It was not new when I bought it...purchased it with about 7K on clock in summer of 1979 and been garaged ever since. I also have a restored 67 Mustang that shares the garage. The daily drivers are banished to the driveway. Again hello everyone, I need to go back to work now.

Hello and welcome!
30 years in the garage; I bet that car (and you) can't wait to get back on the road again

Sorry I should have been more clear. I meant to say that it has been driven off and on for 30 years but always kept in garage when not being driven. Last time driven was about 6 months ago.

The description beauty doesn't really fit right now. Suffered a bruise to the driver fender at headlight area about 6 months ago. Repair in progress but is going slow.

Be sure to check the Pick-N-Pull on Loop 12 between Jefferson and I-30 now and then. Then seem to be the most consistant place to find older Europeian cars these days. Not as many Fiat's out in the yards as their used to be, but they have one every blue moon.
Re: Hello from Dallas
Or just drive on over to Shade Tree Enginetrics east of Dallas or down to Vicks Autosports in Fort Worth. Both have a large used parts supply.

79's rule! Loose the colors around the carb and join the race. Just jump in and ask how! Welcome.
