Hi all. Proud (3rd) owner of a white 1969 124 Spider. The car was recently given to me by my parents, whom had inherited it from my grandfather. He was the first owner and bought it new in '69. She has 60 something thousand original miles, but has been sitting garaged for the past 10-15 years. So, needless to say, I have quite a bit of work to do to knock the dust off her and get her road ready. I'm looking forward to working on her, and thankfully she sits in Columbus, OH where there are 2 Fiat/Lancia shops (Bayless and Midwest-124). I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions once I actually start the work, so please bear with me.
Thanks,
- Bill

Re: Excited!
Welcome to Spider ownership, and the forum Bill. We're exited for you! A 69. How cool is that? You are lucky, Jon Logan of Midwest124 did my tranny rebuild, and he's good. You'll have to post pics of your new baby for us.

Welcome Bill, Nice to hear it was kept in the family, When you get some time, please post pics of the car. We all love a 69.
Ahhhhhhhhh, Virginia Beach. I have a brother that has a home in Norfolk, right on Chesapeake Bay, not too far from the bridge/tunnel. I am usually out there jet skiing in the summer, and playing on Virginia Beach. Good times!

wow, a 69 was my first Spider. First Fiat was a 73 124 sedan. I wish oh how I wish I could get that 69 back!
