he said it would make it faster. i have 2.5 the .5 is a 1979 parts car. i want to get one more just for fun.

I believe someone here installed a 4.3L in their Spider. Maybe they'll chime in and let you know what you're up against. There's going to be a lot of fabricating to do a job like that, including modifying the firewall. You'll also probably have to use a different transmission, which leads to all sorts of other mods.

there was a member in Washington that put a 4.3 in his Spider. Eventually he took it apart to build a complete tube chassis car

There is a guy on here by the name of Robb that has an LT1 with NOS in his spider. I cant remember what he goes by on this forum but I am sure he will chime in sometime soon. Search LT1 and you may find his car.
