JUST PURCHASED A 1978 SPIDER THAT WAS STORED FOR 6 YEARS. ALREADY THIS SITE HAS BEEN A BIG HELP IN GETTING IT RUNNING AND EDUCATING ME IN ITALIAN CARS. MANY THANKS TO THOSE WHO CONTRIBUTE BOTH QUESTIONS AND SOLUTIONS

John,
Welcome and congratulations on your buy. I was in your position just 3 months ago when I bought my spider. I agree, the folks on this board are not only extremely knowledgeable but extremely gracious in passing that knowledge to all of us. Although mine was running when I bought it, I had many questions about the car. All were answered almost as soon as I posted. The people here are the best. I also belong to the alfabb forum and while it is also a great place for keeping in touch with Alfas and their owners, this forum seems much more accessible with a greater sense of community. Well, enough of that and welcome.

Hi, and welcome to the forum John.
I'm betting you'll enjoy your Spider much more than you did the MGB. I believe that these cars tend to create a special bond with us owners.
Don't wait too long to show us your car, we enjoy seeing the "before" pics, it helps us appreciate the after pics that much more.
