Hi Parksville, lovely spot on the rock to hang your hat. Was that the car from Saltspring?
Glad you found the forum, lots of great advice here. There are a couple of wreckers down Island that evidently have a few spiders in their inventory if you need some parts.
Launie in Sooke is active on the forum and is very knowledgable about these cars.
My better half and I are going to be in Chemanius Sept 3-13 for some pub lunches. (the Thatch is on the list)
Now if I can get a few members from the Okanagan...
Good luck - FIAT... fixing it and therapy

Hi jerrydog, and welcome. I am in Sooke, but lived in Parksville back in 1999-2000. Thanks for immediately posting pics! Very decent looking Spider you have there - was it a local car? Do you know the history of it? Yes Chris (narfire) it does remind me of the one that was listed for sale on Saltspring Island.

These are wonderful cars - my first run down the driveway (after hauling mine home) gave me the biggest smile, so I know how excited you must be to now be a proud owner! Have you driven yours yet?

Now you have the car, and the forum... what more could you ask for.

Tell us a little more please...

Hi Jerry. Congratulations on your new car, and welcome to the forum.
By 79 the US federal regulations for imports had gotten to the point where the Spiders were bogged down pretty bad with smog crap. Has your car had this HP robbing junk taken off yet?
Is the driver's door catch broken on your car? If so, they're available from the regular Fiat parts vendors.
