I just picked up a 79 spider 2000. The body has some rust, interior is in great condition and the engine runs but the PO did not drive the car for a few years. I'm looking forward to the task of restoring the car. I'm new to this and I will be seeking direction from everyone.

a '79 is a great year for a Spider. lots of potential. post some pictures when you can. we love to see pictures (some of us can't read too well due to advancing age...)

Welcome to the site talliaferro. Congratulations on your new car. It sounds like this may be your first Spider. You're going to love it. If problems do show up, just don't get discouraged, you'll get all the help you need here.
