Tom Magliozzi (Click and Clack, the tappet brothers - Car Talk) mentioned on the air that his son purchased a 1977 Fiat Spider. Maybe, in future weeks, he'll mentioned some of the problems encountered. If so, I'm sure that humor will be involved.

I just hope they don't perpetuate the Fiat stereotype that has hurt the value of these cars for so long

Don't expect much positive from them. Here's one of their quotes from the Worst Cars of the Millenium:

The Fiat 124/128 was the father of the Yugo. Unlike the Yugo, however, the Fiats didn't rust in the showroom...they rusted on the boats on the way over here.

The Magliazzi Bros are hilarious, but Tommy definitely has low regard for Fiat... this from a guy whose favorite ride was a 62 Dodge Dart, fer crissakes.

are you sure this isn't a rerun? I distinctly remember hearing them talk about a fiat purchase three or four years ago....

Their quote "where there's smoke, there's a SAAB" is a classic. However, they do like SAABs. Tom loves his '52 MG TD (my first sports car) but has little positive to say about it on the air. His '62 Dodge "Dartre" was a continuing joke. Tom and Ray have been entertaining me for at least twenty years (maybe thirty? I disremember). However, I'll look forward to some entertaining comments about the Fiats that rusted on the boat!

Tom and the 124 spider

At one time Tom owned a 124 spider but sold it. For a while there were some pictures of it and a story about the new owner on the Car Talk websight. Then I think he bought the MG-TD (a big step backward, in my opinion).
