My names Allen and I am in the process of buying a 71' Fiat Sport from my aunt and uncle. The engine (as far as i know) needs to be rebuilt so i'm here to get as much help as possible. Thanks in advance for the help. =)

Hi from north of you.
If your going to be re-doing a spider, this is the place to be. Huge amount of knowledge here, someone usually has a suggestion or 6 to make thing right.
I'm just starting to do a rebuild on a 72 spider, going to pull the engine this week.
A few metric tools and a bit of mechanical confidence,a manual helps, and the engine is relativily sraight forward. Parts are available from several vendors.
Good luck and have fun

Hi Bigred, how's it going with the engine? What part of western Washington are you in? I was just up as far as Tacoma this last week visiting friends and family after the Oregon 09 camping trip. I'm from Seattle and Lake Stevens originally myself.
