New to here, but a long time owner. It is great to find this place, lots to read and a wealth of information and knowledge from what I have seen so far.
Mine is a '74 that I have neglected for around 8 years but I am hoping to get her once again purring and rolling in the near future.

Re: Hi folks
Spidey,
Welcome to the forum. Which part of Vancouver Island? I moved from Courtenay to Saskatoon 5 years ago. I bought my first spider 3 years ago and would love to run it on the smooth curvy roads I grew up on.
Regards,
Carl

Re: Hi folks
Welcome Spidey. I am located in Sooke. We have at least one other member from Vancouver Island. Then we have Chris in Naramata, very active on the forum and just bought another Spider out of Victoria (in my yard now, awaiting his pickup), and a few other forum members on the mainland, not to exclude other Canucks from Calgary and east. Hopefully we can meet up on the Island sometime. This forum always has something interesting going on, lots of very experienced hands in the USA and Europe, and friendly and welcoming forum oldtimers from everywhere.
Where are you located? Do you drive your spider much? What colour? Show us some photos, please!

Re: Hi folks
Hey there Spidey, keeping us guessing as where on the rock you hang your hat?
Welcome, tons of great people here, with tons of great help.
Love to see pics. of your car. As Launie said, I have purchased/rescued a 72 and is now in his yard, looking into a cheap ride to get it to the Okanagan. Also found a 72 near Calgary that might need a rescue as well before he parts it out.
I've spent a great deal of time on the Island with my kids there, step kids, ex's, work ect.
Hope to put a face to a name in the future, wife and I stay in Chemanius for a week in Sept.
Chris

Re: Hi folks
Thank you all for the warm welcome I have no picture(s) to post at this time, however you guys all know what a '74 looks like I am sure. It is not currently licensed or even running. As I said before I have neglected it for several years and have had it under cover in the garage. I am as of late getting the itch to once again put this fun ride on the road. It is burgundy/red with black interior. I am in Nanaimo BC for those couple of you that have asked.
