Hello All,
New member from RI. Actually, I've browsed this site for a couple of years and after Mark Allison's assistance w/ a registering glitch (after a 'shout out' to Mike Bouse) here I am. I own a '78 carb'd Spider w/ 76K miles. I'm the 3rd owner and the car is pretty much original. Garaged just about it's whole life so it survied the Northeast salt parties we have during the winter. I've owned it for 3+ years, done all the fluid changes, timing belt, brakes, tune up hoses, water pump, etc. I hope to post pic's soon, once I figure out how. Anyway, great site you have here and I've used a lot of the tips here when doing things to the car. Keep up the good work!

Smart guy, Dave, you know exactly where to go to get the best help!
Welcome to the forum. But didn't Mike mention that we really appreciate pictures?

Dave, glad you made it. We usually don't lock the door that tight, so i am not sure what happened in your case.
clearly, any non-1982 Spider is welcome here, and we grudgingly accept all of the '82s as well...

Hi Dave,
Welcome to the site. I just picked up my second Spider. A 1980 with 46,000 original miles. Purchased it from the original owner. Garage kept except for the last few years. He even had the original window sticker. I also replaced the timing belt, all hoses, all filters and new GR2 shocks. Runs great. Does need a paint job which I will do this fall

Mine also need a paint job. Notice the oxidation of the paint on the hood. That's ok. Looks good for 29 years old.
