New to the forum and to Fiats

Greetings, a couple of months ago my father gave me a 1979 Fiat Spider that is in decent shape but didn't run. Since then I've gotten it running and running pretty well. A lot of it thanks to all of you and this site. Looking forward to my new relationship with my Fiat and with all of you. Enjoy the Summer!!!!! Brian W.

The only car my dad ever gave me was a Ford Tempo, and that's only because he couldn't stand the POC.

My first car was a 74 X19. I wanted a Spider but too expensive at about $6000 . The X cost my $2400 in 1983. It was a bathtub on wheels with all the leaks when it rained. I always vowed I'd get a Spider, and now I do...Welcome to the board.

My Dad gave me an ocean liner. A 1968 Chrysler Newport Sedan." I got me a chrysler and it's as big as a whale" as the line from the B-52's song goes. Does that count as my first Fiat? The really funny thing is he went out and purchased a new Fiat Strada when he gave me the boat. Couldn't get him to go for the Spider. He really loved both cars. As a matter of fact so did I.
