First Classic

My wife and I recently bought a 1976 Spider. SHE talked ME into it, odd though it may sound. Our user name here is how you say 'Spider' in Russian (her nationality). We look forward to tinkering on the car, which it does need a good deal of. I look forward to driving it... the 67 miles from previous owner to us was not enough. It's been in our garage, up on jacks since then as we begin repairing all the neglect. At least it purrs like a kitten.

How cool, you have a wife who doesn't hate a convertible because it messes up her hair! She's a keeper.
Congratulations on your new car and welcome to the forum.

actually ron, i prefer to see the women driving my spider. they look so much nicer behind the wheel than i do.

i've trained all four of my daughters to love the convertible, and i predict they'll each have their own version when it comes time for a play car.

welcome to the site and congrats on your find. getting it all sorted out will take some time, be we can all atest to the satisfaction that is eventually attained when you stick to it.
